Iraq's Oct. oil exports drop due to attacks (AP)

An Iraqi official says insurgent attacks caused a 4 percent drop in the country's oil exports in October compared to the previous month, but that revenues were up due to higher prices. » Full Story on Yahoo! Finance

At 3.877 billion dollars a day made off there oil exports I hope that the US has stopped sending money over there because they need it, seems to me they should be sending it to us.

According to dick (head) cheney, the oil revenues were going to pay for the war. Right after we were accepted as "liberators". A trillion dollars the republican party flushed right down a rat hole.

I thought this was Cheenieweenie's whole rationale for going to War in Iraq, so we had a steady supply of Black Gold? Guess Blackwater got the gold and America got Bankruptcy.

It will be decades before the dismal combination of the immorality, the incompetence and the perfidy exhibited by the Bush administration will lose its impact on our great country. We need to give our duly elected President Obama our support.

Blackbeard: Decades huh? Your statement proves you are nothing but a Bush hater eager to blame all of Obama's bad decisions, policies and shortcomings on the previous administration.....forever.

Obama needs to step up to the plate and accept full responsibility for the dangerous direction in which he is leading (or misleading) our country.

Have your tried anger management therapy?

Another story to blame oil price spiking just in time for holiday travels. Get ready for $3/gal just in time for the holidays. Fat oil companies are gonna beat their old record profits of $15 Billion under Bush. And the Japanese already has a car that runs of water... why are we still using friggin' oil? Shet, this is just a big fraud against the American people.

Well let’s see - The US has spent trillions fighting in Iraq and thousands of our soldiers have died and we have secured ZERO barrels of oil for ourselves.

China was not part of the coalition of the willing but, for just $8.8Bn, they are getting 550 Million barrels of oil, (that’s $16 a barrel) almost the size of the US’s entire strategic petroleum reserve, through the purchase of Addax Petroleum, and 20% of those reserves are in Iraq.

While Bush filled our reserve up "at any price" (that’s pretty stupid) and became the single largest buyer of crude in the world, filling our SPR at a rate of 2-3Mb a week at times, China simply waited patiently on the sidelines and is now coming in and buying wholesale. That’s pretty smart!

Isn't it amazing that anytime we start to see a downward trend on oil prices there is some conflict or event that strives to maintain or push up the current rates?

The Gov. is a business now. Don't you agree? They don't care what all of us think about them. As you can see, they aren't going to help us, they could give a damn. To bad!! I hope we get the Good Old USA back...We have to fight and vote for our rights and not by their looks and speaches.

Wake Up America Its Time
Begin impeachment proceedings in the House Judiciary Committee, which is a subcommittee in the House of Representatives. The House Judiciary Committee considers evidence for of wrongdoing, and votes whether to pass the matter along to the entire body.
Step 2
Schedule formal hearings. The House Judiciary Committee holds hearings investigating any allegations against the president.
Step 3
Draw up articles of impeachment. The House Judiciary Committee composes articles of impeachment outlining the crimes the president has committed and the evidence of those crimes. According to the United States Constitution, the House of Representatives may impeach the president for "high crimes and misdemeanors."

Step 4

Take a vote on whether to send the articles of impeachment to the full House of Representatives for a vote. If a majority of the members of the House Judiciary Committee votes to send the articles on, they are then submitted.
#
Step 5

Vote on the articles of impeachment. The House votes on whether to accept the articles of impeachment. To impeach a president, a majority of the members must vote for the articles of impeachment. The articles of impeachment are then sent to the Senate.
#
Step 6

Consider the articles of impeachment in the Senate. If the House of Representatives votes to impeach the president, the Senate can remove him from office with a two-thirds majority vote. The senate runs the hearing much like a trial. The president is found guilty of his alleged crimes if two thirds of the Senate votes to remove him from office.

There is no sense in bashing either party, since they are both equally responsible for this country's situation. The sooner Americans understand that the politicians are out for themselves the better we will all be. Term limitations for ALL politicians will help stop the corruption and greed in Washington.

Damage to Iraqi Antiquities Was Media Hype

American-led coalition forces were blamed for the destruction of Iraqi antiquities following the 2003 invasion, including inflicting serious damage to the ancient site of Babylon.

But reports of extensive damage have turned out to be largely media hype, according to Forbes magazine columnist Melik Kaylan.

Writing in Saturday's Wall Street Journal, Kaylan noted that John Curtis, head of the British Museum's Middle East Department, was "the single most persistent source" of reports on the supposed destruction.

But this year Curtis began to step away from his earlier claims, acknowledging that Saddam Hussein "had already caused grievous harm to the site in various ways" before the invasion, Kaylan observed in The Journal.

IT'S AMAZING HOW THE LIBERALS & DEMOCRATS WISH THAT SADDAM HUSSEIN WAS STILL IN POWER IN IRAQ... KILLING PEOPLE, AND GASSING OTHERS WHILE WINNING VOTES WITH AN ACORN STYLE SYSTEM...

NO WONDER DEMOCRATS IN AMERICA SUPPORT THE DICTATOR HUSSEIN HERE AS WELL.

NOW OBAMA CONTINUES TO EXTEND THE IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN WARS TO FUNNEL $$$ INTO HIS GEORGE SOROS BACKED INDUSTRIAL GREEN MILITARY COMPLEX.

AND FOR ALL OBAMA'S USELESS BOWING...

OIL PRICES CONTINUE TO RISE, BECAUSE OBAMA IS A MUSLIM WHO SUPPORTS THE OIL CARTELS FO THE MIDDLE EAST.

DEMOCRATS IN AMERICA BLOCK DRILLING AT HOME, AND THEREBY ARTIFICIALLY KEEP OIL PRICES HIGH.

THIS FUNNELS BILLIONS MORE $$$ TO MUSLIM NATIONS, AND THE LIBERAL DEMOCRAT SOCIALIST ISLAMO-FASCIST UNION CONTINUES TO GAIN POWER.

Obama is a disgrace as a POTUS. Once again on Veterans day he showed his true colors by NOT saluting the flag as Commander in Chief. Yet the photo op he posed for saluting out fallen soldiers returning was just that...a bullshlt photo op. Obama and his band of absolute zeros will destroy America. He's a Marxist and his cabinet is full of other Marxists, Communists, Socialists and card carrying Mao worshippers. He once stated that we should judge him by who he surrounds himself with and I have. He is useless and does NOT represent anything Presidential AT ALL!
He's King ACORN the sob

Did every voice babbling on here actually vote? Just curious..in my opinion if you didn't vote, don't complain. If you did and it didn't turn out the way you hoped it would..look for ways to fix the problems with our country as you see them and support those causes. Don't just bash others views because they differ from your own and don't blame Obama..he is just one man...one man that America..that means your neighbors, family, friends, and co-workers voted to have run this country. If you think he's tanking on the job...here's a thought..don't complain, act! If you think you could do better...prove it! Until then..don't disgrace the country in which you live freely and your leader by complaining that just makes us all look bad. There are better ways to get your message across. Rather than complain or point fingers like children...point out the facts as you see them and offer solutions.
