Europe reluctant to send troops to Afghanistan (Reuters)

Reuters - European nations are unlikely to contribute more troops to Afghanistan, the head of the European Commission said on Tuesday, as President Barack Obama considers boosting U.S. forces there. » Full Story on Yahoo! News

This story rings true. Why would Europe be anxious to do anything when it did little or nothing even when Hitler was at its doorstep. Until the terrorists stike in Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo and the like, Europe can be expected to almost fully withdraw from any meaningful participation in fighting terrorism, in the battlefield or anywhere else, especially when the threat appears to be remote and so far removed from Europe.

Why should Europe invest it's lives in a war that Obama gives every indication, that we won't. God forbid that we should act in our own interest.

Ya hit the nail on the head El Vego.

Europe could care less about anyone else than their own selves.

The French would be speaking German right now if not for the US.

What else is new, Obama is weak also, They share the same tail between the legs, just like the Democrats, liberal progressive terrorist sympathizers.

Say good bye to the Dems, they made their own liberal bed, bye bye.....

Big surprise. The Europeans have no stomach for it anymore. They have more of the ethnicity prone to Ji-had there...and more attacks in Europe than we have ever had here...but they want to back out...and I suppose they will want us to save their bacon yet again...pussys!!

They know it's another useless no win battle. Let's hope our President pulls us out and let the Muslims kill each other like they've been doing for centuries.

Well, folks, there's you typical European "fight to the last American" attitude. I say we bring all our young men and women in uniform home from around the world and in particular, Europe, and let them carry their own water for achange. Then we warn the world's tinhorn dictators and religious fanatics that if they dare to do our country or our people anywhere any harm we will pull the Big Trigger and they will cease to exist.

Yep, socialist Europe could care less....

Like someone said above hitler would have won the war if the USA didn't intervene. To think that millions died in that war for freedom only to have it compromised today by so few!

Hey, wasnt Europe listening last November? Obama said the whole world was gonna love us again He said they would be our allies again as soon as we elected an elitist, America hating, socialist. Did Obama lie? Jeeezzz the next thing you know He will raise taxes, expand government, weaken national security, and let our troops get killed while He sits around and does nothing but campaign

Then let the EU fend for theirselves. How many times does America and Americans soldiers have to die too give them freedom. Cowards. they always have been. Just look at the 1st. and 2nd. world wars. If it wasn't for America they would all be speaking German or eating with chop stick.....or even yet speaking Russian. Ungrateful countries.

The Europeans were obligated by being members of NATO and 9/11 being an attack on a NATO member country. This might be the end of NATO unless another false flag attack is generated in an attempt to preclude dissolving said organization.

After Obama is defeated in 2012, when Europe asks the U.S. for help in fighting some enemy, as in the past, we are simply going to say "N O". End of the story.......

Screw Europe. Bring the troops home from every European country, stop foreign aid and let them fend for themselves. If they ask us for help when the muslim hoards finally destroy their culture tell then, "Sorry, don't want to 'interfere'. You might not like us".

European nations are unlikely to contribute more troops to Afghanistan.

But just like many countries have contributed troops in Iraq for example other than Germany and France, they will be glad to open up businesses in Afghanistan once the violence is reduced. It is typical of the current leadership in Europe.

Europe has suffered as much or more from religious fanatics of all stripes. Do we remember that it was the good ole USA who supplied and supported the Taliban in Afganistan. And that the miserable country of Afganistan, on Russias' border, destroyed the Soviet Union.
