Sportscaster must pay ex-wife $916,000 a year

CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz must pay $916,000 yearly in alimony and child support to his ex-wife and give up their Connecticut home under terms of a newly issued divorce decree. The ruling, made Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court, dissolves the 26-year marriage of Nantz and Ann-Lorraine "Lorrie" Carlsen Nantz. » Full Story on Yahoo! Sports

INSANE! Why cant the ex get a job. She is a lazy leech. If she had any self respect would make her own way in the world. That is what real women do. A man is a nice to have, but should not be your meal ticket. GET A JOB.

This is why marriege is a failing institution in America. I never heard such BS before!!! Why should she benefit if she didn't support her at all???

I thought the award to the ex wife was ridiculously high! She gets the New England home and condo. And her award of one third of his income is crazy! Must have had a female, or black judge!
It is OPEN SEASON, these days on White guys! We get crucified for even throwing any minority even a dirty look! More POWER to RUSH, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Don Imus! It is a USA with equal rights for everyone, except White man! What a disgrace and a shame!
Boooo! That's why I live in Philippines now! Paradise.. and no 'minority' snakes! Bliss bro,....bliss! No divorce here, either! Yes!

Divorce must pay. This sounds like a excessive amount for a wife. Another persons life down the tubes.

Can we say golddigger??? $70K so the princess can join any country club? I think they spelled it wrong... maybe he will get lucky and she will get hit by a learjet.

Jim, next time you feel like getting married, find a woman you hate and just buy her a house.

"and pay $70,000 so she can join any country club of her choice".
Did she dig and find gold or what? Can she spell the word "work"?

Greedy Lazy Bit**. She had no interest in his career oh except the money. If she were a real woman she would hang her head in shame. Of course if she were a real woman he might not have divorced her. Yes, Judges in divorce cases are on the take. They are buds with the lawyers and all get a cut of every poor dumb sucker that gets pulled in.

And THIS is why some even intelligent men think it may be worth the risk for their soon-to-be-ex to "disappear." How many times have you seen a show on cable showing the guy off the money-grubbing wife, and you say "dummy - he shoulda just divorced her." Ha! Until the courts stop shafting the man ... like the woman was shafted in the 40s-50s. The pendulum must swing back towards the middle!!!! Hello.

Not bad if you can get the work! I don't know how Mr. Nantz can continue handling the payout when he retires however! Oh well, I know if I were Lorrie; I would not marry again unless it is to some billionaire with a pre-nuptial for triple that say $3,000,000 per year forever!
